                   In refractory manufacture,  tar pitch has long been used, but its use is restricted recently because pitch contains carcinogen. Although replacing cheap pitch by another material proved a difficult problem, phenolic resin was finally recognized as being the most suitable substitute.

                  Thai GCI Resitop produces novolak resin solution types of phenolic resin solution types of phenolic resin for refractory. Phenolic resin shows excellent bonding strength and a high and a high rate of residual carbon content when submitted to high temperature.
